Another Letter from the Director

Dear Camp St. Andrews family,
As mentioned in my previous letter, CSA spent the last 49.5 years ensuring each camp session was a memorable, magical experience for our campers, leader trainees, and staff. Unfortunately, it has become clear for a number of reasons that it’s beyond our power to do so this summer.
From standing restrictions on busing large groups, to state and local orders limiting the types and sizes of youth camps and dining facilities, and most importantly, this year we’d be unable to provide attendees and parents any assurance that we’d be able to keep them or their child safe from the coronavirus.
Further, our Camp Leadership Committee discussed the likelihood of the above circumstances improving to an acceptable degree in time for our planned 50th Anniversary Alumni Weekend and decided to also postpone that event until next year. This will also ensure that Camp St. Andrews alumni from all generations will be able to attend and feel safe doing so.
As noted before, we’ve arranged a few different options for refunds, and these apply to both CSA 2020 and the Alumni Weekend. Registrants may choose from the following options for all monies paid toward refundable Camp Fees, non-refundable Registration Fees, and merchandise/add-ons:
- Full refund
- Credit for next year’s camp/Alumni Weekend
- Donate all or a portion to Camp St. Andrews (tax-deductible)
Please e-mail registrations@campsaintandrews.org with your preference. If we don’t hear from you by July 1st, 2020, the full refund option will be selected for you and we’ll process refunds for all outstanding balances at that time.
On the bright side, our staff are currently putting together some fun online events for what would have been the week of camp, so we still hope to your smiling faces this summer, albeit on a screen. So, stay tuned for more info/invites on that.
We’ll miss you all and look forward to when we can all hang out again!
